I’m sure the majority of parents will agree that being a mom or dad is one of the most amazing and life-fulfilling roles you’ve ever experienced!
But you know what would make your experience even MORE enjoyable? Having someone share with you a few secret parenting tips to let you know you haven’t failed or gone loony, that you will rarely hear about elsewhere. So I’m going to step up and be that someone for you. You’re welcome.

Awesome article!!
Congratulations on the article Carmen. Some true and crude points there 😀
Thank you so much, Dan! 🙂
I know that they say that parenting books are helpful, but I’ve found that getting tips, ideas, etc. from other parents (including my own!) that are going through the same thing or that might have experienced the same issue have been a lot more helpful than what I’ve read. Parenting books are cool for “guidelines” but I like to get my advice, tips from experience.
Yes, absolutely! Best tips come from those who actually fought the battle! Lol 🙂
Amazing post! Its really hard to convince the kids to eat veggies, very helpful tips definitely, I have blog were i post parenting advices also, recipes, healthy tips, I would apreciate your feedback, check it out if you have some time 😀

Wow! Nice article.I learned a lot from this. Thank you for sharing. Hannah, Makeup Artist
Thanks, Hannah! 🙂
I loved your advice about “veggies.” I never thought to use reverse psychology; I’m going to try that on my kid. And the “baby poop”, that one is so true.
Hi Brandy 🙂
I was a pescatarian (veggies & fish eater) when my son was born, so he never gave me grief over veggies. His little pre-school play dates, on the other hand, eyed them like they were contaminated socks, so I had to get creative with them. Lol… I was “that mom” who was always able to get the kids to eat all their veggies!
Oh gosh, the baby poop… I think I still have the “poop journal” somewhere… lol.
I loved your article on Lifehack! It brought back so many memories, made me laugh, and made me wish I’d read your advice years ago when my teenagers were new babies.
I especially love the advice about boxes and paper cups. I have yet to meet a kid that didn’t love boxes and paper cups! Mine made playhouses out of bigger boxes and built forts with paper cups till they were at least 12. And the extra shirts? That advice is GOLD! My kids were so spitup-y that I had to keep extra shirts for friends and family too, LOL!
But my favorite point is #2 about the naps. I’m so happy to have someone else agree with my point of view there. I can’t understand these “experts” saying to nap when your baby naps! That could only work if you had a staff of a housekeeper and cook (and nanny if you have other children).
Hi Deborah!
Thank you for reading my article, and I’m so happy you enjoyed it! Yeah, I wish someone told me about these too! !! I remember keeping a mental note of all these when J was a baby in case he was blessed with siblings!! Well, he didn’t get the siblings (which for some reason, he’s totally happy about… lol) but I thought it would be good to share in case anyone needed it. LOL
And yes… the naps part. it finally hit me when JRoc was a few months old, that his nap time is the PERFECT time to get stuff done (provided I’m not feeling sleep deprived lol).
XOXO
