It’s Not Your Fault…

One of the first things I made sure to explain to my son after his dad left us was that…

His dad’s decision to leave was his, and his alone… and he has to be responsible for making it, and whatever come of his life resulting from it.

This was a very important lesson for my JRoc at the tender age of five… I wanted to be certain he never felt like he was responsible in any way for his dad’s choices. And at that same time, he learned not to own anyone’s choices but HIS OWN.
